What concerns me is all the shipping... it would be interesting to see them partner with UPS, with their "no left turn" strategies and experimentation with alternative fuel trucks. Or, as you pointed out in an earlier blog, Marc, perhaps their could be a friendly competition between UPS and Fedex to win the green shipping partnership with Ebay. Either way, interesting possibilities for leveraging each other's strengths to generate greater buzz about using less. Great post. I use recyled boxes & packing materials in my business almost exclusively. It takes some effort to locate these used materials but they are available. I now have family members & friends scouting for me. I almost have too many supplies as a result! The monetary savings alone is well worth the time & effort. At first I was embarrassed to use "used" materials so I included a note on my packing slip stating we reuse boxes & packing materials & encourage them to do the same. I've never had a complaint but have had quite a few compliments on how well items were packaged. I attribute that to not having to skimp on materials since they cost me nearly nothing. I look forward to more tips on going green!
