		<description>I agree with the idea of forest protection and think that the environmental costs of business decisions should be given a value - ie that it&#039;s more profitable to leave a tree alone than to cut it down. But i am terrified by the way that the cap and trade offestting systems are a surefire way to bring corruption, cheating, followed by speculation, gambling and ultimately crashing to an issue which desperately needs to stick to reality as much as possible. 

Yes the forests should be protected, by NGOs working locally and through initiatives generated by people living in the area. But as well as a bit of on-the-side philanthropy companies must address the their own fundamentally damaging practices - not just through greenwashing.</description>
