Sungevity is a little late to the party. I bought my system for my home nearly 5 years ago from solarhome.com and they did everything on line and never sent out a salesman. I got my quote via email and they sent out an electrician to evaluate my home. I signed contracts which were mailed to me and everything was shipped to my home. Solar Home even offers a price guaranty where they'll beat anyone's advertised price or your system is free.

"Solar thermal uses the sun's heat not light to produce electricity"
I am so tired of people spouting bull....about things they don't know a thing about or worse... when people lie to the public for the utility/corporate/government's benefit IE:"solar thermal is for the desert" That's funny the other place that I read that was from the dpt of energy's website showing a small red circle in Nevada (nothing to see here people what? you live in a cold climate and want to heat with the sun???? nah! you can't do that you don't live in death valley)
Actually.... solar thermal uses the sun's ENERGY to heat a fluid then that heated fluid is used to produce domestic hot water and home heating
Shame on you dis-informers of the world.............. quo intel pro
