I saw the press release when UL announced and thought it was very interesting. In fact, I reached out to them and have not gotten a response. I was only able to get to their PR firm - GolinHarris. I have several questions about the criteria they will be using to evaluate these "green" claims. I'm very interested in this because essentially, we create impacts with everything we do. And these impacts are what my agency deals with, because fish and wildlife feel these impacts much earlier than humans do. So, while I do think it is good thing that UL has launched this new environmental practice, I'm fairly skeptical about where they are going with this and will remain so until I know more about the criteria of their evaluations.
