Let me join the Steve Love Fest. The Climate Group is successful mainly because of its clear focus on the government/business relationship - getting one to drive the other into action in a glorious dynamic of mutual back scratching. Keeping celebrities like Blair and Schwarzenegger on your side is integral to the Group’s success. Full marks to Steve and his very capable team.

The challenge is how to keep relevant in today’s economy. And staying focused on business and government. Forays into the consumer area – like the Group’s damp squib Together Campaign – will be an expensive distraction. We are not going to tackle climate change by trying to get Mrs Smith and Mr Wang (or President Obama, for that matter) to turn down the thermostat. It’s business-backed regulation that will do it. And learning to adapt to a different climate.
