		<description>Thanks, Marc.  It&#039;s not only companies that have something to sell... often nonprofits, including well-meaning ones, are selling something too.  They&#039;re selling themselves: they need donations to survive.  And a person worried about the dangers of toxic shower curtains is more likely to donate than one who trusts his/her shower curtain.  
All such PR- both from companies and nonprofits (not to mention bloggers like you and me) should be approached with a healthy dose of skepticism.  (Unless, of course, skepticism turns out to be toxic.)</description>
