By way of context: Just how well (or badly) does ExonMobil treat its employees, communities, the environment and society in general? How do they compare to all other companies, and to just those in the oil and gas business? We've tried to independently quantify this. Check it out - not to say there isn't room for improvement, but they seem to have a pretty good reputation.

"You can argue that ExxonMobil's actions aren't good for America. We need investments in renewable energy. We also need more oil, so that we are less reliant on foreign sources of oil."

If ExxonMobil put the time and money into developing renewable energies, couldn’t this help out the company and their shareholders in the long run? The way things are headed, more and more people are ‘going green’ in various aspects of their lives, and many businesses are doing the same (for the environmental affect and cost-savings associated with a lot of green technology). If ExxonMobil can get in front of this market, it seems like it can only help them in the future.
